Technology. Strategy.
Curiosity.

I connect technical depth with business decisions. This is a home for what I’m working on, what I’ve learned, and the ideas I want to explore.

01 / About & approach

Connecting ideas
with what it takes to build.

A background in computer science, data engineering, product, and an INSEAD MBA. An interest in the decisions that connect them.

Who I am

A technical foundation.
A wider perspective.

I’m Mariano Lucas Lizárraga, a computer scientist from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2019) and an INSEAD MBA, class of June 2025.

My work has taken me from data engineering at Falabella and R&D at Synopsys to product and technology work at LIZCAL, and contributing to ConMaestría. My involvement with ConMaestría spans mentoring and development.

01 / Perspective

Connect disciplines

Bring engineering, product, and business into the same conversation, so the technical decision serves the problem.

02 / Judgment

Understand the constraints

At LIZCAL, ERP implementation began with conversations across the operation, from people on the floor to leadership.

03 / Curiosity

Make ideas tangible

Explore questions through software: how AI agents should use a computer, and how synthetic respondents can help develop market research.

04 / Mentorship

Share what I learn

Mentoring is part of my current involvement with ConMaestría, alongside earlier engineering mentorship at Synopsys.

02 / Software experiments

AI agents &
synthetic market research.

Two projects I’m developing: one about an agent’s authority on a computer, the other about exploring product and market questions.

Linux · In development

Nyam

Give each AI agent its own OS identity.

An agent needs room to work without inheriting the human’s account or secrets. Nyam is being built around ordinary operating-system users and their native permissions.

  • Users & folders: inspect Linux identities and manage which resources they can access.
  • Agent tools: keep permissions with the identity as its harness changes, such as between Codex and Hermes.
  • Protected services: develop gateway access that lets an authorized agent use a credential without receiving its transferable secret.

The Linux implementation is in development; the protected gateway and wider verification are still being worked on.

Desktop application · Synthetic research

JevPersonas

Ask fictional respondents structured product questions.

A local desktop workspace for creating synthetic populations, running experiments through Jev, and inspecting how model responses differ across segments or concepts.

  • Build a population: combine editable market profiles, psychometric-style statements, and personal details.
  • Run a study: supply context and questions with defined answer options; Jev returns decisions and probabilities.
  • Compare results: explore segment differences, probability distributions, and perceptual maps; export CSV or portable JSON.

The responses help develop hypotheses and improve human research. They are synthetic results, not observed consumer demand.

05 / Outside work

Board games. Video games.
And making one of my own.

I like board and video games, and I’m a Dungeon Master in D&D. Animalia is a personal game-design project that grows out of that interest.

Tabletop role-playing

Dungeons & Dragons

Dungeon Master. For the fun of it.

Personal project · Trading card game

Animalia

A trading card game about absurd ecosystems. Plants supply resources; animals become food and fighters. You play a human Zoowalker, gathering specimens for an increasingly questionable research thesis.

“If Pokémon can have an in-universe TCG of their beasts, why can’t we?”

Open for all. Print and play.
